Oh, my. Where to even start? Mr. Towne's passing affected me, and I miss him although I never met him. Such a tremendous impact on the screenwriting world. Knowing my keen interest in the 1930s, especially Los Angeles, I'll never forget my mom telling me "If you want to know what the 1930s looked like, watch 'Chinatown.'" In which I have - multiple multiple times. Thank you, Mr. Towne. Heartfelt condolences to those who loved him.
