Robert Vandervaart

My deepest condolences to the Vandervaart family. Mr. Vandervaart taught me German at Forster (73-78). He was an awesome teacher and always interested in my life. He was caring and gentle and I treasure him as one of the best teachers I ever had. He will be greatly missed. Gail Senay (Scott)

Mr Vandervaart was not only one of my favourite teachers, but he inspred me to become a teacher myself....I was so sad to hear of his passing, but I have to say that he is likely correcting my French grammar from a very fun and happy place where eveyone speaks French and Dutch and he is happy.

Oh an Mr V...the time that you sent Heather out of class it was our fault, Im sorry. But I am sure that you know that now!!!!

You are likely laughing now that I am a French teacher but it is totally because of you. Merci!

Mr. Vandervaart was a great french teacher. I was student of his and graduated in 1982.

Rest peacefully Bob, you earned it. My lasting memories will be your enthusiasm for teaching and your infectious laughter. Thanks for being part of our lives and for spreading the joy around.

Bob, we will miss you so much. Whenever there was something to celebrate you were always there as part of our family. The kids will miss Uncle Bob's drop-in visits at Grandma's and Grandpa's house. You loved them so much and they always returned your love and affection. Rest peacefully and we will be thinking of you.
