Bob, 81, of Langley, BC passed away peacefully on July 27, 2016. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Langley with Father James Kairu officiating. Family and friends will gather at the Church Hall after the service to share memories and celebrate Bob's life. Cremation will follow the funeral. Funeral arrangements are being handled by First Memorial Fraser Heights Chapel. Bob was born in Canmore, Alberta, to Marie Claudine and Frédéric Verhulst on July 3, 1935. He worked as a truck driver for almost 50 years, 28 of those years were spent at Commercial Truck. He enjoyed breeding, showing and judging dogs. He was a lifetime member of the Canadian Kennel Club, the Boxer Club of Canada and the American Boxer Club. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Marie Claudine and Frédéric, his siblings Andrée (Feuchuk), Betty (Bolen), Frank, Georgette (Smith), Gordon, Jeannie (Sogge), Josie (Smith) and Stanley, as well as his son Christopher. Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Sheila; his son Gordon; his granddaughters, Cassidy and Rhiannon; and his daughter, Cora; all of Langley as well as his daughter, Cheryl and his grandchildren, Dennis and Kristen Charron of Surrey. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Bob's memory. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Chapman and the staff at Langley Memorial Hospital.
