I started working at Memorial hospital SW in 1981, I remember meeting dr Viles and Mrs viles. Very nice, I was a surgery scheduler. I'm sorry for your loss, rest in peace.

Dr. Viles, was a great colleague and senior partner for me when I was a junior physician coming up through the ranks. He was a true professional and an amazing person. I will miss him

I am so sorry to hear about Bob´s passing-but so glad to have had him for many years after his illness in 1988. He was a wonderful friend and mentor in the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists. I don´t remember ever seeing him without a smile!

So sorry to hear of Bobs passing. He was a great mentor to me and gave me so many opportunities to serve and ultimately lead. It was a privilege to administer much of his anesthesia care during those tumultuous times in 1988, he was no doubt a fighter! I´m so fortunate to have had him and his family in my life.

Bob and other friends met for breakfast at one restaurant after another . We would meet at one until it closed down and then we´d find another and repeat the process. This went on for many fun and interesting Thursdays. Bib and I would intentionally arrive early and he would always bring the local paper for us to read together before our other pals would arrive. I treasure all those fun Thursdays and maybe dear friend Bob is starting another breakfast group in the beyond!!
