Robert VOGRIG Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert on January 2, 2015, at the age of 47 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Beloved son of Pio and Emma. Cherished brother of Gabriella (Grant Pope) and Louisa (Ben Ellul). Dear uncle of Samantha and Alex Pope and Nicholas and Christopher Ellul. He will be fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends, all of whom he touched and inspired. Special thanks to the staff of 5E at The Ottawa Hospital - General Campus for their excellent care and compassion. So sorry to hear about the passing of Robert. He worked here at the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg for a while; I remember his bright smile and upbeat attitude. Rob, you have fought the good fight, but now can rest.

We first met Robert while looking at some model homes back in 2005. It was a pleasure when we bumped into Robert again after moving into our new homes on the same street. Often Robert waved to us as he rode by our home while cycling into work or upon returning home in the evening. We often exchanged pleasant greetings when ``bumping`` into each other at the Canada Post super box. Robert always had a warm smile on his face, a nice comment to say, and was very friendly to everyone he knew. We enjoyed having Robert as one of our neighbours. His presence on our street will be greatly missed. Our deepest condolences to Robert`s family.
