Robert, I'm sure you don't remember me but we shook hands many times at Northgate. I have always enjoyed playing the golf courses you designed in Houston and Mexico. You will be missed.

We lost a "GIANT" when Robert passed away. He was at home with Kings, Queens, National Presidents, etc. all over the world yet always the most gracious and acceptable of everyone. As an impeccable dresser, I think he thought that casual was going without a silk scarf in his jacket pocket. We went to one of his courses that he had wanted us to play in Arizona and were treated like royalty due to his planning. He had such passion for any land he was about to develop it was obvious when talking with him about it. He loved what he did and did it very well!

Greta,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. In the short time that I got to know Robert, including our dinner together at Admiral's Cove, while serving as Club President during the East Golf Course renovation, I was charmed by his grace, vibrancy, and amazing artistic vision. He has left a legacy of friends and family (and that includes his business partners that he mentored, who I am sure will carry on his vision and work.

Bob was as honorable and noble a man as any I have ever known. His easy smile and happy demeanor were infectious and made everyone comfortable just by arriving and saying a simple "Hi Pal." Although the time I knew him was all too brief, he made me feel we had become close friends. The world was a nicer place with him in it. He will be missed by me and Carolyn. John and Carolyn Odom

Hi Greta...we could never say goodbye to BobRobert (Bob was because he was my friend, and Robert for Respect)and we will forever carry him, his smile, his willingness to always help, and his love for his fellow man and for his awesome work. What a friend he was, and never had a day when he was down. It was always try harder, do better, and it seemed to work always. My one regret is that I didn't get you both here to Columbia Lakes.

Sharon and I will always keep him close and we want you to know that our prayers are with you, and certainly for Mike and Rick. They are class and they learned most of it from Bob. We can always remember him from his work, and his helpfulness, but his smile will always be carried each day.
He will always be missed.

Love,
Bob and Sharon Putt

Greta; I remember fondly the years we worked together. First was the initial golf course in The Woodlands (1974), later in Master Planning projects in Mexico and almost one west of Hong Kong in China in the late 1990's.
Our prayers are with you and we will all miss his smile and optimism.
Love,

An amazing and inspiring gentleman. The one who often spoke of and designed around God's light...is now eternally with the true light...I grab some comfort from that.
My prayers are now with his family and the partners of von Hagge, Smelek and Baril. May God sustain you through this time.
