A life well-lived....

I had the honor of meeting Rob and Chelle in the last year. While I didnt know him for long, there just arent enough to describe my gratitude for the time I knew him. Rob always made me smile and laugh, making jokes about the small things. Even in his illness he focused on the positive and made it a point to ask about my life. His strength and character shown bright even in his weakest moments. His resilience amazed and inspired me, and the love in his family always warmed my heart. He will be greatly missed!

I don´t remember the first time I met Rob. But my memories over 30-plus years are alive and well of the many dinners I enjoyed with him and Chelle. He had the gift of attunement. He focused his affectionate attention on the people lucky to be in his company, never speaking of himself. With a light and easy attitude, he was always interested in and amused about everything about me and my family and anything I was up to. It felt like a warm embrace. I can see him now, chuckling and lightening the mood even when our conversations veered toward troublesome subjects. He made me feel special and I treasure that. And observing the relationship with Chelle taught me about the relaxed ease two people can have with one another. Rob will live in our hearts and thoughts as long as we´re alive. I hope that Chelle can continue to commune with him. I send all my love and sympathy.
