To the West children,
Many early pleasant memories of Uncle Bob -- from seeing him play QB at Dryden High to joining the Navy at age 16. He defied many odds and displayed much resolve and determination in later acquiring his H.S. diploma, graduating from college and becoming an educator. He dearly loved his children!

"Bobby", I will miss our telephone conversations! You were the baby that your three older sisters adored and we treated you like our baby doll! I keep thinking of all six of us kids with mum and dad at our dinner table. Now I am the only one left. You will be greatly missed by your four children and grandchildren. Love you, "Sissy". Doris

My deepest sympathy to all of Bob's family. I know that it is hard when you lose your father; I lost mine almost 10 years ago.
The last time I talked with Bob was on the phone after his lung surgery. Seeing his picture really made me smile. He could always make me laugh and was just a joy to be around! He always reminded me of my own Dad.
Bob's love of and pride for his grandchildren and family showed when he talked about them - and he did so often. I know he will be deeply missed!

Abbi,Adam, Jason, & Dan... Many men would have been overwhelmed by trying to raise 4 small children alone BUT not your dad. You were much loved and cherished by him. His sense of humor and love for his family was so evident. I will miss him. Love Ya . Priscilla Claypool

Uncle Bob,
We'll all miss your smile and warm thoughts. Always supportive of your family - the West "blue-bloods"! From Ruth Mae, Hannah, Dorie, Jack, and Nora Jean, there was one and only one "Uncle Bob"! In fact, I remember when I was about 7 or 8 years old and you came to visit... "what do you want for breakfast Ronny?". My reply of course... "BANANA SPLIT"! Sure enough, before any one else was up, we were stuffed on ice cream. I think that's what "uncles" are for! Your Michigan family all loved you dearly and we'll miss you.

Bob left a lasting impression on all of his co-workers, I am no exception. I will never forget his feisty attitude and relentless sense of humor. His presence will be missed to say the least and we are all greatly saddened by this loss... let us not forget to celebrate his memory though. He was a truly unique individual and will certainly be remembered as such. My most heartfelt condolences to his loved ones.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend and fellow worker. I left Phoenix and retired a few years ago, all my and Bob friends have been kind enough to notify me of his passing. He was a very dearly loved gentleman who will be sorely missed. My sympathy, thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I know Bob is thru with pain and walking with Jesus as a healthy young man.
