Dear Donna, David and Marie,

I've just heard today that Pastor has gone on to be with his Lord.

What a rare and beautiful blessing for one man to have been able to touch so many lives! He was a walking, talking, singing, laughing, loving channel of God's grace.

Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

God bless you and keep you,

Dearest Donna, Marie and David,
I cannot express to you well enough how much my heart breaks for you at the loss of your dearest husband, best friend and father but I also rejoice with you in knowing that he and Dad are whooping it up together again in heaven. I've never looked at a raccoon the same again after meeting Reverend Randy the Raccoon years ago in Confirmation Class, and I can't tell you how many times I tell kids who are squabbling to "Love one another, or I'll slug ya'." Donna, the love story you and Bob shared I have shared with countless others as I can think of no other better example of the unconditional love that husband and wife should be for each other. I am so blessed for having crossed paths with you in life and for the love of Jesus that you so openly shared. Pastor Bob was one of those rare men who give special meaning to the word "pastor."

My sympathy to the family of Pastor Whitenack. I remember as a child going over to Antioch in Hoagland for Vacation Bible School and him incouraging the group as we were learning songs by telling us something along the lines of "it doesn't matter how well you sing, just sing loud!". A memory I will keep always (and continue to make a joyful noise unto the Lord), May God give you comfort and peace during this time.

Dear Donna, David and Marie,
After reading the loving messages posted here for Pastor Bob, there's little left for me to say.
It is so clear that Pastor was very special to all of us who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Donna, you and Pastor were such a big part of our lives and our daughters lives with your way of teaching with such love and joy. All of the children in the church at Antioch loved you both so much. Thank you Diane for mentioning the spider on the Bible. That was so typical of Pastor to laugh instead of scold.
Our years at Antioch were some of the warmest and most rewarding years we have ever had in any church and it couldn't have been without Pastor Bob and Donna.
Our love and prayers are with each of you, Donna, David and Marie.
He did indeed "make a joyful noise".
love,
Glenn and Judy Paxton

Honey Donna and Papa Bob! You represent the best of what it means to be good and faithful servants of the Lord. My only regret is that I did not get to spend more time with you both and now I send words and prayers of encouragement and love to you Donna as you chart the next chapter of your life and ministry without Bob by your side. Know that you are in my prayers and my heart as always. Love, Nancy K.

Dear Donna, David and Marie,

Our family often thinks of you and remember the wonderful memories of our days at Antioch. It was there that we truly knew the Lord was present with Pastor whenever he stood before us in the pulpit. He gave so much of himself for others!
May you be comforted during this time! All of us send our love to you!

Brother Bob, what a people's pastor! What joy we had together, Praising the Lord. He was always there for his flock-in good times and not so good-with prayer and concern. Always a smile. We remember the time several families from the church went to a conference in Minneapolis. We were all together in a hotel room and Brother Bob was on the bed with all of our kids. Someone put a quarter in the bed vibrator and we all had such a laugh. He enjoyed life. Both he and his helpmate were with us during times of trial, holding us up in prayer. And, now his struggles are past and he is continuing to Praise his Lord. He was a simple, common spoken man with a powerful, life changing message. He spoke/preached from the heart without the "pulpit tones" often heard. Pastor Bob knew that his Redeemer lives! Blessings to Donna, David & Marie.

Donna and Family, We offer our condolences but really we rejoice with you that Pastor is now before the Throne, helping the angels and archangels and all the company of Heaven to sing His praises. Pastor made us welcome at Antioch, and married us there in August 1979. We were sorry to see him go to Kentucky, but surely many there were also blessed by his ministry. God be with you and keep you in the true faith.

We are sorry to hear of the loss of Pastor Bob, but also rejoice with you as we know he is in the arms of Jesus. What a great legacy he leaves behind. We have often talked about what each of you mean to us and how Pastor Bob would teach the children (big & little) songs. The one that comes to mind most often is the House built on the Rock; and how he loved to sing Battle hym of the Republic. Such good memories, many many memories and we ar so proud to have been in his life. We love you all and we are praying that God will continue to give you the peace that only he can give. Dear Donna,

My sympathy to you and your family. My parents, Ken and Jeri Keipper also send their condolences. My dad spoke often about the wonderful times that he and Bob shared as children and was so honored to have him as best man at their wedding. Dad speaks of him often, even now. Please know that we offer our heart and prayers at this time of sorrow.

Dearest Donna, David, and Marie,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I spoke with Mom and she too was saddened by the news, but yet, there is JOY in the news and that is what Pastor had always expressed was the JOY of the news.
Marie - JOY is the first word that comes to my mind when I think of your dad. He always had a smile and spring in his step. The way he could get a room singing and praising the Lord was marvelous. I remember him leading VBS with the Foolish Man Built His House Upon the Sand, his JOY working with the holy spirit would just move everyone in the room. It is interesting another song that reminds me of him that he loved so well was; I've Got the JOY, JOY, JOY Down in My Heart, and he truely did have the JOY of the Lord down in his heart, and he planted that seed in many many a heart at Antioch and the Hoagland area.
May the peace of the Lord be with you all; as well as the JOY of eternity in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Love always your sister in Christ - Debbie

My Dearest Donna, David, & Marie Adell,
My thoughts and prayers are definitely with you all at this time. It is actually quite difficult to share my single memory of Pastor Bob, but this morning at Antioch while we sang "I Love to Tell the Story", I could see him standing in front of us leading us as only he could to one of our favorite hymns! His giggle when someone had put salt in his water glass, and the spider on his Bible just to name a few! My memories go on and on. What a great man of God he was! His legacy lives on in so many of us that had the true pleasure of his leadership as we entered and grew in our walk with the Lord! The Whitenacks will never be forgotten!
Love, Diana & family
