Of Gaithersburg, MD died October 14, 2006 surrounded by his family and dear friends. Bob was born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 27, 1951 and was preceded in death by his brother Earl R. (Rick) Williams, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol (Heineman) Williams; his parents Earl R.and D. Jeanne (Didion) Williams (of Punta Gorda, FL); his sister, Linda (Williams) Johnson (of Tallahassee, FL); his two nieces, Jana (Krom) Henderson (of Spring Mills, PA) and Kimberly (Johnson) Rause (of Davis, WV); and his godson, James Pflueger (of Gaithersburg, MD). Bob leaves a circle of close friends with whom he shared his many interests in music, travel, baking, needle point, gardening, social justice, animal rights, and non violence.
Bob graduated from Bethel Park High School, attended the University of Pittsburgh and Penn Technical Institute, and graduated from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County. He worked as an electronics technician at Georgetown University, NUS Corporation, and Professional Products, taught mathematics at Poolesville High School, and worked as a computer programmer at Westat.
A memorial service will be held in the near future. Condolences for the family may be sent to: The Williams Family, P.O. Box 2755, Montgomery Village, MD 20886. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: the International Myeloma Foundation, www.myeloma.org, the Humane Society of the United States, www.hsus.org, and/or Music Rising (the instrument replacement fund for musicians of the Gulf Coast), www.musicrising.org.

Bob and I would like to express our condolences to Earl and Jeanne Williams, the parents of Robert and to his family. Even though his death was a long hard fought ordeal, no one is ever fully prepared for it happening. He will be sadly missed by all. My heart goes out to his parents and to his family.
