ROBERT GERALD WOOD

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Robert Wood. Robert died of heart failure at Grey Nun's Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. With Robert was his spouse, Jacqueline Cordova. Robert was the youngest son of Fred and Jean Wood who predeceased him.

Left behind to mourn him terribly are his children, Jimena, Kurtillo and Juanita, his sisters Sandra Doran (John Grant), Shawn Woods, his "big" brother Jim (Mereta Witt); his nieces, Roisin Tankink (Bas), Megan Bye (Courtney), Tracy Wood (Jarrod Daye) and nephews, Kevin Doran and Sean Doran. Robert is also survived by his great nieces and nephew, Caoimhe, Scarlet, Lilly and Quinton, and by cousins in Powell River and on Quadra Island.

Robert was born in Campbell River and it was always home for him although he lived in Edmonton for much of his adult life. He returned often to the coast to indulge in his first passion, fishing, and to visit friends and family. Robert also fulfilled a dream to ride Harleys and enjoyed this lifestyle with Family and friends.

A service will be held in Edmonton, Thursday June 19,2014 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 14339 50th Street at 2pm.

For his family and friends who can't make it to Alberta, we will celebrate Rob's life in Campbell River later this summer.
