Zuidema, Robert H. Muskegon Robert Harold Zuidema, 92, of Muskegon, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Robert was born February 6, 1931 to Nicholas and Edna Zuidema. He served his country proudly in the US Air Force. He married Virginia Meyers in 1952 and together they were blessed with four children and 68 years of marriage until Virginia's death in 2021. Robert owned and operated Zuidema Zephyr service in Muskegon. He was a member of American Legion Post 9. He enjoyed traveling, hunting and trips to the casino. He was a caring, hardworking, loving man who will be deeply missed. Robert is survived by: his children, Russell (Brenda) Zuidema, David Zuidema, and Karen Zuidema; grandchildren, Tiffany, Russell, Nicholas, Holly, Kevin, Brandy, Dawn and Kimberly; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his wife; infant son, John; several brothers; and one sister. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 19 2023 at EverRest Funeral Home and Chapel 1783 E Keating Avenue Muskegon. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.

I have such warm memories of Mr Zuidema. His Zephyr station was our family gas station. Back then, he pumped the gas, washed the windshield, and fixed flat tires. As a teenager who ran over a nail, I really appreciated that last service! He was always so kind and helpful. My father owned Zephyr Oil and respected your father so much. My mom was Bob´s cousin. I remember many trips as a child to that zephyr gas station. So sorry for your loss. My mom was Gertrude SIKKENGA Vanderwest.

Sorry to learn of Bob's passing..IAm glad to have known him and work with at Walker Arena...he was a good person and set a good example for all who knew him..He ran a good race..well done!!
