Roberto Bobes Obituary
On August 23, 2016, Roberto Augusto Bobes, age 89, passed peacefully from this life and was born into eternal life. The oldest of six children, he was born in Santiago, Cuba on November 23, 1926 and immigrated to the United States in 1946. He is survived by Alfredo Bobes, brother and Amparo Rojas, sister. Mr. Bobes was the devoted father of Lydia Isabel Bobes and Ernesto Tamayo, adopted son, who preceded him in death; grandfather of Mary Magdalena (Schwartz) Gorden and Grace Nicole (Schwartz) Niepert; great grandfather of Eva Rose Gorden and Noah Felix Niepert. During his lifetime, Mr. Bobes was a successful entrepreneur who was extremely generous with his children and grandchildren as well as members of the Cuban community. He will be greatly missed. A Bilingual Memorial Mass will celebrate his life on September 11, 2016 at 2 pm at St. Clare Roman Catholic Church, Essex, Maryland. A reception will follow. Flower donations are welcomed.
