Roberto Martinez entered into eternal rest surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his residence in Hebbronville, Texas at the age of 85. He was born on December 8, 1932 to Belisaro Martinez and Anita Salazar Martinez in Hebbronville.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hector, Belisario, Jr., Norberto and Humberto Martinez; sister, Lillia M. Vira; grandson, Ricardo Javier Martinez and son-in-law, Roland Gonzalez Jr.

Roberto leaves behind his wonderful memories his loving wife, Olivia G. Martinez of Hebbronville; sons, Bobby (Celinda) Martinez of Rio Grande City, Texas, Rene (Priscilla Garcia) Martinez of Hebbronville, Rick (Selina) Martinez of Longview, Texas and Roli (Annie) Martinez of Hebbronville; daughters, Monica (Hector Guerra) Gonzalez of Hebbronville and Marissa (Mario Lerma) Martinez of Alice, Texas; brothers, Heriberto (Alma) Martinez of Hebbronville, Heberto (Evelyn) Martinez of Hillsboro, Texas.; sister, Lucia M. Salazar of Hebbronville; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Martinez, Rene Martinez, Rick Martinez, Roli Martinez, Roli Gonzalez, O.J. Gonzalez, Rene Mario Martinez, II, Elmo Martinez, Breanna Lynn Salinas and Estevan Adrian Salinas.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hector A. Guerra, Mario Lerma, Jr., grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will start at 8:00 a.m. with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
