Robin was the sweetest person. I enjoyed working with her at Lucent all those years. She was so helpful on projects and the nicest person all around. There will be some comments at the "Lucent Technologies WR Alumni" Facebook site you might want to read about her.
She lit up talking about her sisters and nephews and spending time with them. It was great to read about her work with the church and kids. A special memory is her playing the hammer dulcimer! I lost touch with her and am sorry to hear of her medical issues. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Blalock Family,
I worked with Robin at Lucent Technologies since we started in early 1980's. We always worked closely together and enjoyed our friendship. Robin talked about her sisters and was excited about her nephews. They brought her joy. We are extremely saddened to hear of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers go to the family and friends during this difficult time. May you find peace that she is whole again and with our Lord.

Dear Denise, Lynn & Lisa, I cannot begin to express to you the pleasure and privilege it has been to provide companion care to Robin. For the last two years and four months, I had the joy of her friendship and know she recognized me up to the end. Her beautiful smile not only lit up the room but the many lives she touched around her. It was her signature to her life's story that nothing could diminish the Robin you all knew as a sister that was trapped in a body that would not let her express herself in any other manner. She brought purpose and meaning to so many around her that, in their late stages of life, provided them an outlet to express their love and concern for her. While she will be missed and at this time leaves an empty place in your hearts, we can all rejoice that her faith in Jesus Christ has taken the sting out of death and the grave has no victory over her now or forever! I am truly happy for her and know there will be no questions one day when I join her and see her in her new body with the Lord. God bless.
