I have no memory of NOT knowing Robin. We went through elementary school together at Lock Hill, then on to Pat Neff, then to John Marshall. We both graduated from UT-Austin. I have so many memories of the Boldt home on Prue Road: there was always a Mustang in the driveway, and Herbert watching football on TWO TVs!!! (that's when I heard it called ar-KAN-sas, much to my father's dismay :-) ). Melba was always at the helm and we passed the Boldt garage daily. And the board games! the cupboards bursted with them. There was so much love in that home. Even though Robin and I didn't stay in very close touch in our later years she was always a constant from my childhood - I hope I was the same for her. My heart breaks for Cheryl. Photos from 2021 of Robin, Melba, Cheryl, my mom Grace and myself at Martha's Cafe.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Robin's passing. We were classmates at John Marshall HS and stayed friends after graduation. Her joyful spirit will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to her family.

I was among many of Robin's friends on the Forty Acres in Austin. The University was important to Robin, and she showed her passion and love of UT by supporting and bragging about it! Another Texas Exes chapter and group of burnt-orange friends are wrapping their arms around her now.

Dear friend Cheryl - "Boo" - Somehow we got disconnected (on FB) again- after reconnecting six years ago when I visited SA. I remember that lovely visit with you and Robin- your beautiful light tree in the living room - going to see the projections show on the Cathedral .... I can´t picture you without Robin, but know that you will continue to enrich lives just as she did. So sorry for your loss. Prayers for you during this time ahead. Peace.

She was a fantastic teacher. She was the highlight of my day during senior year at John Marshall. She encouraged me in starting a cake decorating business.

My husband, Tim, & I met Robin , Cheryl , & Melba at Oxford UMC. I can still remember Robin´s kind smile & words of encouragement as we began our faith journey & marriage. She was always so intentional about greeting us & inquiring how we were doing. She also made me laugh & reminded me to not take things too seriously. She was a true woman of faith & love. Robin will be greatly missed by her friends & family here on earth. I look forward to meeting again in God´s heavenly realm.

So many great memories of times at the house on Prue and at Medina Lake!! Robin was my first friend, as we were friends since our births. I remember so many bruises from creating our own "slip and slide" on that wonderful, long, concrete porch! Playing barbies, cards, speculating who our future husbands would be...Then the days at the lake... the wonderful naps in the upstairs bedroom with the breeze coming through the windows. Playing pool downstairs while our parents played cards! We enjoyed a wonderful childhood together...we were truly blessed. I regret we never got back together for that dinner we were going to enjoy together. You were a wonderful friend, Robin. Farewell and rest in peace till we meet again!

Robin was always the little sister (to Richard and Cheryl) but you never knew it because of her personality. If she could organize your life, or have an opinion about it-she would do it in no uncertain terms. Cheryl and Robin were devoted to one another, and Cheryl made sure Robin never missed out on anything, even with her many medical challenges. She could brighten a room with her smile. With hats, always hats, we´ll remember her always.

Robin was about 8 years old when I got married. Her sister, and my friend,Cheryl, was one of my bridesmaids. I have the sweetest picture of Robin standing on the steps of the church as my husband and I are coming out. Family and friends were waiting to toss rice at us as we came down the steps. Robin's back was to the camera and she had on a hat with a pink ribbon coming down her back. This picture of her makes me smile. Guess this might have been the start of her wearing hats. I know her big sister and I, and all her friends will miss her.

When Robin told me she had pituitary brain cancer, I (a veterinarian) offered to do the surgery for her. I told her it was a piece of cake and I could save her some money. She declined. So I sent her a package with 7 items that would allow her to perform the surgery by herself.

I wanted to have a way of talking about something scary in a way we could find absurd and humorous. Robin took it for what it was and it gave us a way to talk about something frightening without being too serious. I will miss her wit and humor. God´s speed my friend.

Robin was such a faithful and committed gal whatever she was involved in. In high school we had great times at the Boldt house. A few years ago , the Lord put Robin on my heart after years of us being apart. I enjoyed sharing scripture with her, and playing games with her and Cheryl. Of course we watched lots of UT college football together. So blessed to have known Robin. I know Jesus is taking good care of you.

I will miss Robin's intelligent humor, her encouragement, and her bravery. She was a true beauty and God's light radiated through her. She is in His glorious presence now, and I have faith that I will see her again someday.

Robin and I were on a bowling league together starting in Elementary school. She was a really good bowler. We had a lot of fun in those days.

How is it I never knew she was a teacher? So inspiring in so many ways. And funny, too. It was always fun to visit the Texas cousins. --Karla Joost Reed
