We were each others first boyfriend and girl friend. That was the summer of 1970. We went to the fireworks on the 4th of July with your Mother and sister and brothers, sitting on the blanket and secretly holding hands, you said it was your first kiss later that night. It was a magical summer exchanging notes and glimpses of each other at the poop and in your front yard under the trees with the commonwealth gang. Going to my guitar lessons and playing it on summer and fall days. The corn roast in your back yard. Me going to football practice and carrying my equipment home past you out on the step waiting for me, what a joy! Swimming at the pool with you, stealing kisses under the water away from everyone or so we thought. Your mom use to hide us from your father finding out, however I would catch her smiling. I remember your leopard designed dress you wore to my family's party at my house. You know those guitar lessons paid off, I went on to play for numerous top named bands around the world. Even wrote songs for the Raspberries sold many to very famous people. I remember seeing you again in Willoughby, Ohio in 1993 met your son. I have always held a space in my heart and head for you. I miss you and will always miss you. So long until I see you again someday in Heaven. Thank you for time we spent together. It's with a broken heavy heart that I must say good-bye some how now. Love always Carl Goetz
