Robin Ingram Obituary
We are sad to announce the passing of Robin "Duchess" Sheila Ingram of Raleigh, NC. She
died at age 89 on December 1, 2023. Robin was born in London, England in 1934. She lived an
amazing life. The Duchess was proud of her English heritage including "keeping a stiff upper
lip" and a good Tanquaray and tonic. She loved travel, music (especially Jazz), tennis and her
family. She influenced so many people's lives and truly cared about them. With her late
husband, Peter, she was co-owner of the legendary Frog and Nightgown and the Cafe Deja Vu
in the Cameron Village Subway. Also worked at Village Dinner Theater and Raleigh Dinner Theater as sale manager. Finally, a career in the cruise industry for various cruise lines as hostess manager, excursions manager and tour leader. She gave us so much and will be missed.
Robin is survived by sons Francis Ingram of Denver, CO, and Ramsay Ingram (and spouse Jane) of Cape Coral, FL, grandsons Patrick Ingram (and spouse Katie)
of Summerville, SC and Spencer Ingram (and spouce Ryan) of Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by son Russell Ingram. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

Since I have known Ramsay for over four decades, it is easy to say that I have many fond memories of his mom, Robin. One stands out as fun and inventive for us young lads back in our teens...senior year in high school, Spring break at Atlantic Beach! Robin set up the whole thing and launched us into a lifetime memory. Yes, of course the first night of spring break was when Jim Valvano and the NC State Wolfpack won the NCAA national basketball championship in 1983. That memory of our trip and the anticipation prior to it will always be with me. Thank you Robin for such a great time!
