Robin (Rob) Lee Monthony, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, passed away on July 2nd, 2022, after his fight with cancer at the age of 61. There was no battle lost as he fought with his all to the end. He was surrounded by his daughter Alyssa Monthony, sister Sandy, and niece Christina Malys.

Rob was predeceased by his parents Clayton Monthony, Shirley (Mallaber) Monthony, brother Jon D. Monthony, and niece Miranda L. Sidebottom.

Rob is survived by his siblings Mickey (Diana) Monthony, Joseph Monthony Sr., Laurie (Dennis) Sidebottom, Sandra Gagliardi, and Andrew (Becky) Monthony. Children Wendy Stafford, Brianna Monthony, and Alyssa (Deidre) Monthony. Step children Nicole Zsebehazy, Deanna McKain, and Joseph Zsebehazy. Grandchildren Nasia, Matthew, Adriana, Ashlynn, Devon, Hailey, Katie, Klaire, and Khloe. Great-grandchild Aliana along with many nieces and nephews.

Rob was born in Medina, NY and graduated from Royalton Hartland Central School. In the U.S Air Force he received an AF training Ribbon, Small arms expert marksmanship ribbon, and an outstanding unit award. He went on to get an associates degree and enjoyed working as a machinist.

In his final days he was able to be surrounded by people he loved near and far and reminisce about his life. Everyone who called or texted gave him comfort. He enjoyed talking about his children and how proud of them he was, music, motorcycles, fishing, football (Go Bill's and chomp chomp) hunting, boating, his adventures traveling and stories of childhood memories.

He was thankful for the love of his children's mother's Vicki Myers and Theresa Monthony. His daughter Wendy who brought him joy with her presence and his daughter Brianna who reminded him of what unconditional love is. His daughter Alyssa who stuck by his side with the strength of his will in her, nieces Christina (Adam) Malys, Deedee(Nicholas) Keleher who brought him peace in his final moments and longtime friend Cindy Sanders.

A celebration of his life will be determined at a later date. He will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.

RIP Rob, we had a lot of fun in our younger days in Middleport..glad to have hooked up with ya on facebook in our later years and share some memories. Thoughts and prayers to all family and friends c ya on the other side friend.
