Robyn Bell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 16, 2025.
Robyn Aleana Bell, 67, of Shenorock, NY, made her transition from this floating space rock on March 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and beloved dog, Princess.

She was born in Springfield, MA to Leonard and Catherine Reid (LeSage) on May 21, 1957.

She is survived by her children: Arick, David and Amanda, as well as her son-in-law David Maxfield; grandchildren: Samantha, Sophia, Sean and Brian; sister: Lynda Reid and her partner Mike Legault. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous cousins, extended family, and many close friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Robyn spent most of her career working in the medical field as an office manager for chiropractic and vision care practices- undoubtedly making those around her smile.

And so it goes, Robyn's spirit left her body on the night of the full moon and lunar eclipse, a fitting departure for someone whose favorite quote was, "I love you to the moon and back."

She was a spiritual being who was fascinated by all of natures healing elements- interests she shared with her children, grandchildren and close friends.

She loved so many things on this planet: Stephen King novels, chocolate, crystals/stones, alternative medicine, apothecary, Italian ices, the ocean, nature, gardening, animals of all kinds, family, creating deep meaningful connections with others, laughing until she lost her breath, scratch-offs, and of course, her Virginia slims.

Favorite memories of hers and moments she cherished were the times spent with her family, often bringing them together for home-cooked meals, puzzles, and crafting projects.

A lover of nature, Robyn found joy in tending to her raspberry bush, nurturing plants, and going on long walks with her dogs. She had a soft spot for animals, caring for many throughout her life.

They say you can tell a great deal of someone's character by how they treat animals, and Robyn was the most loving caretaker of animals that came into her life. Her pooch, Princess, was her best friend, sidekick and protector for the past 8 years. Robyn doted over Princess and both carry a strong connection that will last an eternity and exist through many forms.

But she LOVED the ocean. Some of her favorite memories were those shared with her daughter and grandchildren on vacations spent in Ocean City, Maryland.

Throughout her life, Robyn taught her children and grandchildren to be kind to strangers and to acknowledge all of those around them. And she never missed an opportunity to compliment a stranger or to send a random gift that you'd least expect. It was just who she was.

Her love for life was matched by her love for those around her. She was always just a phone call away, offering support or advice whenever anyone needed it.

In her early years she coached youth soccer and volunteered with her children's Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops. In her later years she was present and active with Women's support groups.

She lived many lives on this planet, as we all do, and she was pretty f***ing awesome.

Robyn was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Jeffrey Bell, who passed away in January 2024. Now they are reunited once more under the same moon.

She was also predeceased by her father Leonard, mother Catherine, Aunt Eleanore, Cousin Mark and nephew Daniel. All of whom she shared very special bonds with.

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Robyn's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her spirit, like the moon, will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those she left behind.

Her light is dim now, but her energy will continue to pulse in all of those who were lucky enough to be loved by her. She fought hard in her final years, which is a testament to who she was as a human. Unapologetic in her fierceness, Robyn shined bright on this planet.
