Robyn Anne (Donten) Del Monte

Robyn Del Monte passed away peacefully on April 7th after a short battle with cancer at the age of 60. She was born in Montclair, NJ on September 2, 1961 to Katherine Barsody and Earl Donten. She was beloved sister to Scott Donten and his wife, Margaret - Mary and Craig Donten and his wife, Sharon. She is preceded in death by her mother and father and her father-in-law, George Del Monte.

Robyn graduated from Lakeland Regional High School's Class of 1979 and The Berkeley School, Class of 1980. She was loved and respected by her "work family" at the State of New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission, where she worked for 27 years.

She was married to the love of her life, George Del Monte for almost 25 years. They raised three beautiful children together, Ryan, Jennifer, and Katy, and were blessed with five grandchildren, Jeslyn, Evan, Jason, Karen, and Juliana, who were deeply cherished. Her daughter-in-law, Melissa Oldham, was very special to Robyn.

She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Carole Del Monte, sister-in-law, Christa Del Monte Collis, and her husband, Don and brother-in-law, Gary Del Monte and his wife Debbie. Robyn was the dear Aunt to nephews Eric and Matthew Donten and Jason Collis. She will be deeply missed by her many cousins and friends.

The impact that Robyn had on the lives of strangers, friends and family will be felt forever, and her memory lives on. Though we are devastated by this loss, we know that she would want us to all move forward with lives of joy and love.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Robyn.
