I went to high school with Shelley. While we didn't hang out then, Shelley would later show up through her work at St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo. My parents were "frequent flyers" at the hospital for many years. At some point, Shelley and my Dad figured out that she had been a classmate of mine, and as a result, my Dad would get word to Shelley almost every time he was admitted. Shelley would go out of her way to take the time to go visit him. He really enjoyed her company as they made each other laugh. I'll always be grateful for Shelley's kindness. My condolences to her family on the loss of such a sweet person.

Even though she was married to my father's cousin and was just 12 years older than me I always knew her as Aunt Shelly. She had the brightest and most welcoming smile. I always felt comfortable and loved by her. I remember when she and John got married, they were so in love. I may not have kept in touch with her, but I will miss her greatly.

You were always like a second mother to me Shelley. I have many fond memories of you, John and the rest of your family. Ya´ll always treated myself, Adam, and Ben as your own. You will be missed and always loved! Rest in peace until we meet again.
