Rochelle Yellen "Chelle" Resnick

Resnick, Rochelle "Chelle" Yellen Age 72. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Ralph & Bess Yellen. "Nanny Chelle" died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones in Dallas, Texas. Chelle fought, but lost a courageous battle against lung cancer diagnosed just over a year ago. She grew up in Minneapolis graduating from North High School in 1955, and then attended the Un. of Minn. where she met her first husband, Jerry Eisenberg. They had two boys, David and Bruce. Chelle remarried in 1968 to Sid Resnick and had two more boys, Ross and Geoffrey. She was a devoted mother to all of her boys and a loving grandmother to six grandchildren. Cooking was her passion evidenced by the vast number of cookbooks in her kitchen. Her homemade chocolate chips squares were legendary. Chelle enjoyed lending her thoughts to various support groups. She was also a very talented piano player and very much enjoyed attending her grandchildren's piano recitals. Attending her grandchildren's sporting events was a big part of her life and was vocal supporter. Chelle is survived by sons, David (Traci) Eisenberg, Bruce (Lisa) Eisenberg, Ross Resnick, and Geoffrey Resnick (Amy Walling); grandchildren, Matthew, Blake, Jacob, Benjamin, Elyssa, and Bronson; brothers, Stuart (Dian), Michael and Edward Yellen; sister, Susan Yellen. Preceded in death by parents, Ralph Yellen & Bess Yellen Cohen. Funeral service WEDNESDAY, Dec. 2 , 1:30 PM at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5224 W. 26th ST. St. Louis Park. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society. SHIVA, services will be held Wednesday with evening minyan at 5:45 PM at Beth El Synagogue.
