To the family of Rocky Gray, we lost a very dear friend with Rocky's passing. I think of the many visits Rocky and I enjoyed sitting on the back deck, in the swing at their place here in Land's End. I so much enjoyed the many conversations we had about fishing, fun times here, and going out to eat with Sally and my wife Nancy. We spent a great deal of time talking about his Dad and his military career, the fact that all of you are a "Gold Star" family and why he believed so strongly in and generously supported the event both Nancy and I put on for the veterans every year, the Patriot Sporting Challenge (PSC). All of you probably recognize how special this was to Rocky due to the fact that he so generously supported it from the Gray Family Foundation beginning with our very first event in 2017. It was so devastating to us when we returned from an out-of-town trip and heard of his passing--ironically I was on my way to visit with him to chat about our 5th Year Anniversary event scheduled for this coming June when I heard about his very sudden death.
We will miss him dearly--both Nancy and I lost 2 great friends in both Sally and now Rocky. We do, however, have some very fond memories of times we shared. In fact we shared dinner at Verona's just 10 days or so before Sally passed and talked a long time about all of you children and of course ours too.
I would so appreciate it if one of you could give me a call at a time when you have a moment to spare. I would love to talk with you about something I would like to do in Rocky's honor involving a tribute to Rocky and your "Gold Star" family's history. You may remember that last year we published an article in the local newspaper about Rocky's dad and his career. Hope to visit with you soon (817-296-8985)! Garry Schnabel; Friend, Neighbor and Executive Director, PSC.
God bless Rocky, Sally and all of your family!

Rocky and Sally were amazing. I remember him sharing stories of his family and always having a good baseball story. They were both so kind and friendly.

Rocky was a great man, wonderful counselor, and a true friend in addition to being the best salesman I ever knew. Even though he was always busy if you needed advice he would stop what he was doing and give you his full attention. I am forever greatfull to have known Rocky!
