Roderick "Hottie" Freeman, age 14, passed away on February 23, 2025, in Dover, Delaware leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly. Born on September 1, 2010, in Dover, DE, Roderick was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. He was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and his passion for sports and gaming. His presence filled every room with warmth, and he had a way of making others smile, whether through his generosity or his laugh that could brighten any day.
Roderick is deeply loved and will always be remembered by his mother, Teana Freeman; his father and stepmother, Brandon and Shaunel Freeman; his beloved brother, Brandon Freeman Jr.; his grandparents, Elzie Washington and Charon Freeman; and a host of family, friends, teammates and teachers whose lives he touched. Though his time with us was short, the love and memories he shared will remain in our hearts forever.
As we gather to celebrate Rodericks's life, we find comfort in the joy he brought to the world. His light will never fade, and his spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved him.

Rodrick was such a happy and joyful person. Although i moved and we lost touch, when i moved back he was one of the first people to recognize me on the first day of school and say hi when i got on the bus that morning. He always made my day when asking me how i was on the bus and just talking about his day during 5th period. He was a great friend and a great listener.i truly will miss having him around and having that person to talk to.
