Mr. Mah was always a ray of sunshine. Beyond all his work and charity in Calgary, I'll always remember his smile and hardy greeting whenever he saw you.

Roddy (grandpa) which most of us kids would call him when young was a kind and funny man. Roddy helped bring my dad here when Jade Restaurant opened and I thank him for giving my dad the opportunity. My parents attended the service. I'll always remember his joyous smile.

Dear Lillian and family,
We were very surprised to hear that Roddy has passed on. We were in Vancouver when we received the news. Take care Lillian, and if you need something don't hesitate to contact us. After all you went to School with Wing.

Lillian & family,
What a shocking news to hear that our most respectful Roddy just passed away.
Roddy sponsored me to Canada with his job offer in his travel agency & ever since, I've been working for him in Thunderbird Travel till he retired. For over 20 years, he's taught & treated me as his son, not as an employee. I've learnt a lot from him in business & his way to treat people.
I will miss him deeply.
Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Veronica and Family,
Whenever I come to Calgary for a visit, your family have always welcomed me and make me feel like part of your family. It is with great sadness to hear of your father's passing. He showed such a zest for life and was always friendly & generous. It was a privillege to have known him. Keeping you and your family in our thoughts.

My family and I were totally shatterd to hear of Roddy's passing.
As a friend of Roddy for 45 years and also a business partner for 10 years I always enjoyed being associated with him.His business ethics, sincerity, sense of humour.guidance and absolute honesty and loyalty were most commendable.
I always looked forward to my trips to Calgary in order to get together with Roddy and have a few brews and lots of laughs. Our numerous trips overseas were most memorable.
We will sincerely miss him.
REST WELL GOOD BUDDY.

Every time I bumped into Roddy he would make me laugh and he would give me some kind of advice on money matters like when he told me that “the first million was the hardest to make and then the rest were easy” but he still would not lend me my first million even after I promised to pay him back after the easy ones came in insisting that I needed to work hard like he did to get to that point. My fondest memory of Roddy was a four day Salmon fishing trip with the guys on the West Coast and I was lucky enough to be on a boat with him on the first day and to witness Roddy catch his first Salmon ever and to see the joy it brought him it was like I was with a 12 year old boy he was so giddy.
My deepest sympathy goes out to the Mah family and God Bless

Roddy was a valued member of our organization Skal International Calgary, for over 25 years. Even with his busy schedule he was able to maintain a good attendance record. He will be greatly missed.

I have known Roddy since I was 6 years old. He was a wonderful man and would always cheer me up when I ran into him. I had the pleasure of having dinner with him just two short weeks ago, with my father and husband along with a very good friend of his. For the longest time he wanted grandchildren so for years now I would always call him Grandpa when I ran into him (usually in very busy, public places - tradeshows, the International, etc.) we always laughed at all the stares we would get from these meetings. We also had a long standing joke about a camel necklace that he purchased for me in 1977 to replace the one my father bought me which was stolen. He always promised to "find" it for me. He taught all four of my brothers and me as well as all three of my children how to use chop sticks and eat Chinese food.
God has taken another angel way too early,
Rest in peace Roddy. I love you.

Roddy was a fine gentleman and friend. After Skal meetings he would always asks if everything was okay to drive home to High River, especially in the winter months. We first met while we were both in the travel industry starting in the late 70's and continued to be associated through Skal. He will be missed by all.
