Roderick Joseph "Super Trucker" Rife, age 68, passed away on August 24, 2025, in Genoa, Ohio. Born on August 26, 1956, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, Roderick lived a life defined by passion, perseverance, and a deep appreciation for the road ahead.

Known affectionately as "Super Trucker," Roderick dedicated most of his life to trucking-a career that was more than just a job; it was his calling. He died doing what he loved most: being behind the wheel. His unwavering commitment to the open road and the trucking community left a mark on those who knew him.

Roderick had a unique spirit and an eye for finding value in the overlooked. Whether it was a forgotten trinket or a well-worn fishing pole, he saw treasure where others might not. His collection of fishing poles stood as a testament to his love for simple pleasures and quiet moments spent outdoors.

He enjoyed sharing time with friends and family, always bringing warmth and laughter to any gathering. On special occasions, he would proudly bring out his Harley Davidson-another symbol of his love for freedom and adventure.

Roderick's deep love for his family and his loyal dog, Jack, was evident to all who knew him. His presence was larger than life, yet always grounded in genuine care and unwavering loyalty. He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlene; daughters, Krysten and Dayna; grandson, Elijah; mother, Nellie; father, Earl Rife Jr.; and brother, John. He was also deeply cherished by many lifelong friends, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will hold his memory close. Roderick was preceded in death by his beloved son, Thomas W. Rife.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him, and may the road ahead be smooth and endless for our beloved Super Trucker. A Memorial Gathering will be held on September 18, 2025, from 04:00 PM to 08:00 PM at Tina's Country House & Gardens 50870 North Ave. Come as you are and celebrate Rods life with us.

Rod has been a good neighbor to me for 40 years. Whenever he was home he always gave me either a friendly smile or some good conversation over the fence. I appreciated his love for his family and his bond to his home. He will indeed be missed!

I have known Rod all his life. I would watch him and my two brothers on my Uncle and Rods grandparents farm. We would run out in the fields and play. We even took a watermelon that was growing and hit a rock to split it open. We ate it all. Every weekend it was fun

I´ve known Rod and worked with Rod for 33 years, it was always a pleasure to be around him never a dull moment. i´m going to miss our calls just about every day.. Rod is definitely going to be missed.
