I was so saddened to see this obit. I lost touch with June a number of years ago but thought of her often. I couldn't find her number and I searched the net numerous times. Today I found this and I am so sad. June was a beautiful person. I went to her wedding with Joe and it was one of the most beautiful weddings. I knew she finally met someone and moved to Reno but I didn't know her husband's name. So many regrets. I am sure they are in heaven together.

These two were very dear to me. They both had a wonderful sense of humor and I admired the way they didn´t take themselves or life too seriously. Even years after I moved to a different town, June always made a point of calling with birthday wishes and to see how I was doing. They were rare and very kind souls and they will be missed. I know they cared deeply for their families and friends- my condolences to you all.

My first memory of June is when I started dating Steve (her brother), she invited us over to her house. Justine was just a baby. Then unbeknownst to me she secretly invited the sisters over to check me out. It's now been 43 years since I officially joined the family - I'm so glad they let me in. June and Rod will be missed by us at every holiday and family function. Steve and I enjoyed dinners with them at special restaurants that we would alternately pick. They were such a special couple and they will be so missed by our family. Justine, Joe, and Steve our love goes out to you for the loss of your mother June and stepfather Rod. Love you all! I heard from June in late November when she advised me of her diagnosis. She was in hospice and told me that Rodney had just "rejoined" her following spinal surgery. Needless to say, seeing this obituary shocked me....
My sincere condolences to both families. They were a terrific couple & we enjoyed their company whenever they visited.
