Rodney Forrest Flottman, aged 98, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Fort Myers, Florida. Born in Covington, KY, on November 30, 1925, Rodney was a respected and cherished member of the community.

A proud WWII veteran, Rodney served his country with honor and dedication. His commitment to service was a defining aspect of his character, both during and after his military career.

Rodney was best known in the business community as the owner of Flottman Company, where his leadership and entrepreneurial spirit were instrumental in the company's success and growth. His work ethic and integrity left a lasting impact on all who worked with him.

Beyond his professional life, Rodney was an avid gardener, golfer, tennis player, artist and world traveler. His hobbies were a testament to his love for life and learning, and they brought joy not only to him but also to those around him.

He was the beloved husband of Sally Flottman (Sprunck) for 73 remarkable years. Rodney is survived by his six loving children, Thomas (Anne) Flottman, Jane Arseneault, Mary (Mark) Beiting, Ann (Charles) Hageman, Sue (Steve) Steller, and Peter (Terry) Flottman. He was a proud grandfather to Ted, Will, Gus, Peter, Matthew, Kate, Ellen, Jack, Therese, Carolyn, Lynn, Mark, Christopher, Jill, Molly, and Luke, and a great-grandfather to 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Forrest and Hilda Flottman, son in law Joe Arseneault and grandson Philip Beiting.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 9:00 AM, followed by Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Xavier Church 611 Sycamore Street Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. Rodney's life will be celebrated and remembered as one of profound impact, marked by dedication to his family, service, and community.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Saint Vincent DePaul (Cathedral Conference), honoring Rodney's spirit of generosity and community support.
