So sorry to hear of Rod's passing. I met Rod and his then girlfriend Colleen at a Gathering of Believers in White Bear Lake, MN. We had a mutual friend, George Kimball who I played baseball with over at White Bear Mariner High School. We also participated together in some pickup football, hockey, and softball games. Rod's friendship will be greatly missed.

So sorry to hear this. Our sincere condolences to the family. Coach MacKay was an inspiring, dedicated coach and a great teacher. The Savannah Arts boys' Cross Country Team had a privilege and honor to have him as a coach and mentor from 2010-2014. He will forever live in our hearts.

He was a dutiful and interesting teacher. Had him for homeroom and history I / economics I back in 2011 - 2015. His passing truely marks a loss to Savannah and his home state. Shocking news indeed. He is greatly missed. Godspeed Mr. Mackay! - Josh Johnson, Former Student, 5 May 2020
