Roger William Bedor

ROGER BEDOR LITTLETON, NH – Roger William Bedor, 75, passed away peacefully at his home on May 28, 2018. Roger was born on February 24, 1943 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont to William J. Bedor and Winona (Rivers) Bedor. Roger was married to Bobette Anne Henley on August 21, 1965. Of the marriage were born 3 children, Annette Nelson, Kelly Bedor and Steven Bedor, all of Littleton. Growing up he loved spending time with his Aunt Beryle, his grandfather and nana. He also spent time on the Taylor Farm in Kirby, VT lending a hand where they became family. He belonged to the National Guard for 6 years. Trucking ran in his blood as both his grandfather and father were truck drivers. Roger has hauled everything from box, log, tanker and flatbed trailers. His expert driving skills earned him an award from DART Transit out of St. Paul Minnesota 3 years in a row which he was very proud of along with many awards from other companies. He covered 48 states along with Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba in his driving career. He worked alongside his father for the Town of Littleton, also for Avery Construction and Nute Excavating, where he took great pride in his dirt work, operating heavy equipment. Roger and his son were able to take a trip to Newfoundland in 2009, where he always wanted to take his whole family back to. He also owned Jerry's Bus Service back in the 70's where he picked up his CB Handle, "Zookeeper." He was an avid member of the NRA and Golden Eagle's which he was very proud of and loved his flag of the United States of America. Although Roger's passion was driving truck, he love his family. Spending time playing cribbage, countless fishing trips to Pittsburg with friends and family, where his wife introduced him to that area known as "God's Country". He also did a few fishing trips to Hell's Gate in Parmachenee Maine with his son, hiking into some great fishing holes they discovered together. His family was his pride and joy along with his German Shephard, Simba. His sense of humor kept people on their toes. He thought the world of "his" girls that took care of him his last few months making his days happy, they were Cindy, Fahleasha and Jocelyn - who was by his side the night he passed. Roger is survived by his wife, Bobette, daughter Annette Nelson and her husband Bucky, daughter Kelly, son Steven, granddaughter Kaytlin Lavoie, brother Joel Bedor and wife Cathy, a nephew Bill Bedor and wife Tina, his Aunt Beryl Houghton and several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Elizabeth. SERVICES – Calling hours will be held on Friday evening, June 8th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Phaneuf Funeral Home, located at 101 Union Street in Littleton. A service will be held on Saturday, June 9th at Annette and Bucky Nelson's home, 138 Hill Street in Littleton at 10:30 a.m. with a gathering following the service. Roger will take his last ride from Annette and Bucky's home to the Grove Cemetery in East St. Johnsbury following the gathering in his dear friend, John Baird's Peterbilt.
