Rev. Roger Mackay Budde, 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior, whom he faithfully served, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Wesleyan Health Care.
Roger was born on a dairy farm in Ontario, Wisconsin on April 13, 1935, to the late McKinley and Ferol (Butcher) Budde.

They then pastored at Valton, Wisconsin and then Merrillville, Indiana before moving to Logansport, Indiana where they pastored Riverview Wesleyan Church (now The Bridge) until his retirement in 2004. He served on staff part time at Shiloh Christian church in Logansport for two years after his retirement. When they moved in 2019 to Colonial Oaks in Marion, he and Sue become members of Westview Wesleyan Church in Jonesboro.
Roger had a unique sense of humor, loving pastor and dad jokes. One of his favorites was "I was born at a very young age." He loved to be outdoors. He was a hunter, fisherman and avid gardener. In winter he looked forward to planting his garden and in spring looked forward to tapping maple trees for syrup, something he did until he was 84.
