Kathy & Family;
We are so sorry to hear the sorrowful news about the passing of Roger. I still can't believe it. I am awestruck and our hearts and prayers go out to you. I will always remember the both of you as the wonderful friends and times we had as neighbors when we started in the Double Bunglaows in Hopkins and the wonderful times we had together. Then the great surprise when you came to see us last year in Arizona and as we were coming down last week I commented to Sam that I wondered if you would be coming again to surprise us. Please know you will always be in our hearts and prayers. Roger was a great and wonderful man, husband and father. Our love to you and all your family. Call if ever you need to talk or need a friend. I will always be there for you.

Classmates from De La Salle '57 will miss Roger's visits to our gatherings, with his enthusiastic input and presence. Given his quiet demeanor in high school, Roger's lack of shyness and sheer enjoyment of life showed his growth and development as an adult. We appreciated.

I used to ride the Armor Sausage route with Roger and help him when I was in about 6th grade and he would drop me off at my sisters farm and pick me up the next week and I would help him again on the way home. He gave me one of my first jobs.....$.75 cents per hour cleaning up the Atwater Locker. I quickly was given a raise to $.90 per hour. Also did some mowing for him. He gave us a good deal on the old yellow truck that we drove for years! My dad ran the Atwater Locker when he bought it and continued to work for Roger until he was medically un able. I am sure you will all miss him. How about those lamb chop side burns and handle bar, red , mustasche. Sorry to hear of your loss. My best to Kathy and their kids. Milt Westlund, Jr.
