JOHNSON, Roger, 63, of Brandon, passed away July 24, 2008. Born 1945 in Battle Creek, Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara Johnson; son, SFC Robert Johnson and daughter-in-law Tina Johnson; brother-in-law, Roy Eick; sister-in-law, Teressa Eick. He was ordained a Deacon in The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints October 7, 1962. He served the Tampa and the Zephyrhills branch. He graduated from Chamberlain High School, 1964. He entered the United States Air Force, December 28, 1964 and served for four years. He was employed by General Telephone and Electronics March 31, 1969. He retired March 31, 2007 from then Verizon. He donated 19 gallons of blood to the Florida Blood Services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2008 at Blount and Curry Funeral Home Terrace Oaks Chapel, 12690 N. 56th Street, Temple Terrace. Services will be held at the funeral home, 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Interment to follow 1:30 P.M., at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. Donations may be made to the Florida Blood Services or LifePath Hospice, 12973 Telecom Parkway, Ste 100, Temple Terrace, Fla., 33637, or act of kindness in your community.
