Roger D. Miller

Roger D. Miller, 62, of Seymour, passed Aug. 16, 2014, in Freetown.
Born April 17, 1952, in Seymour, he was the son of Homer Clifton Miller and Mary K (Peak) McMahan. On Sept. 10, 1982, in Seymour, he married J. Arlene Cartwright.
Roger graduated from Brownstown High School in 1970. He attended Peace Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Army and worked in production at Cummins Engine Co. He was a member of American Legion Post 89 and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.
Survivors include his wife; children, Christopher M. (Angela) Miller and Jason K. (Jennifer) Miller; a sister, Sharon E (David) Waskom; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, David E. Miller; and stepfather, Ernest L. McMahan.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour, with the Rev. Steve Barrett officiating. Burial will take place at White River Valley Cemetery, Medora, with full military graveside rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
