RABAEY, Roger On Sunday, May 25, 2008. Courageously after a long struggle at WRH Met Campus at the age of 67 years. Cherished husband of Annette (a.k.a. Pooch) nee: Barrette for 47 years. Loving father of Robin & her husband James Tilley and Jill & her husband David Morris. Proud grandpa of Jeffrey & Melissa Tilley, and Ryan & Derek Morris. Dear brother/brother-in-law of the late Richard (2007) and Rosanne, Diane and Ernie, Clarence and Colleen, and Hector and Ann. Several nieces and nephews survive. Will also be greatly missed by his furry, constant companion "Angel". He retired from Chrysler's after 30 years of service, and prior to experiencing health issues, he enjoyed many travel adventures. What joy he felt when he could go out for breakfast with his "two girls" or cruise around on his scooter, all the while socializing and befriending many. Special thanks to his long time support worker, Aline Schroeder, Drs. Chao, Rajkumar and very caring nurses at WRH Met Campus ICU. Many thanks to family and friends for the years of relentless support. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 87 Maidstone Avenue East, Essex (519-776-4233) on Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Roger's life will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. Fr. Larry Brunet officiating. Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 201, Essex service Tuesday at 7pm. Parish Prayers Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Cremation with entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery will take place at a later date.
