Roger Tetrault

TETRAULT , Roger Dale May 5, 1950 - April 1, 2010 Roger Dale Tetrault passed away peacefully at his home in Red Deer Lake, at the age of 59 years. He was predeceased by his son Philip James (1992) and by his father Philip Martin (2006). He is survived by his wife Ruan, his daughter Maryse, son-in-law Ed Joussaume, granddaughter Annika and his youngest child Juliette. He is also survived by his loving mother Norma, his brother Randy and wife Cydney, sister Bonnie and husband Chester Emery, brother Christopher and wife Giselle, sister Melanie and husband Reginald Klapecki and his youngest sister Renee and husband Vern Bjorenson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews whom he loved and treasured. Roger grew up in Calgary. He attended St. Joseph school as a child and St. Francis High School until 1968 in his teen years. He received his training in Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Guelph until 1975. He returned to Calgary and settled in with the family business where he worked with his father and family until 2005. Roger's passions in life included an appreciation and vast and diverse collection of music. He was a gifted photographer and graphic artist and an accomplished chef who enjoyed sharing his talents for large and small gatherings of family and friends. He was a dedicated sports fan, enthusiastically donning his Calgary jerseys for big games. Roger's final years were spent in the country home which he loved with his family who were most precious to him. Roger was a gentle and generous man. He will be sadly missed and always cherished by his loved ones. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta. A Visitation was held at LEYDEN'S FUNERAL HOME (corner of 17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W., Calgary) on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Leyden's Chapel of Remembrance on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to LEYDEN'S FUNERAL HOME, RECEPTION & CREMATION CENTRE.
