(Rog)

December 5th, 1958 - August 17th, 2025

Roger L. Yoder, 66, passed away in his sleep on August 17th at his home in Malad Idaho. He was born on December 5th, 1958, to Harvey and Beverly Yoder in Ogden, Utah. He worked in construction until he moved to Malad Idaho about 15 years ago.

After moving to Malad, he embraced the serenity of country living. He found joy in solitude and a deep sense of purpose in caring for animals. His days were filled with tending to horses, goats, a beloved donkey, and loyal dogs. He also had a special place in his heart for rescuing cats, offering them safety and love. When he was not caring for the animals, you could find him casting a line into the Weber, or Ogden River. He loved to fish, especially with his brother Mike. His gentle nature and unwavering compassion left a lasting mark on every life he touched- human and animal alike and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving mother Beverly Yoder, his brother Randy (Judy) Yoder, his sisters Julie (Rick) Giordano, and Sandy (Scott) Edmond. Five children, Jason (Margaret), Yoder, Paul Yoder, Launa (David) McComb, and Jamie (Joseph) Nistler. Thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Harvey Yoder, daughter Julie Yoder, brothers Mike Yoder, Rick Yoder, and his grandson Esic Clark.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date for close friends and family.
