I haven't seen Roland for many, many years. I remember Roland from a time when we were kids. I can still see his smile and hear his laugh. A bunch of us ran around together. I'll never forget sitting under the trees across from Deckers after school and the time they were butchering a cow and the guys chased us with the tongue. There were some good memories. I see that Roland was loved by many people, and he touched many people's lives. He's not somebody one can forget, even all these years later. I hope that his family can take comfort in knowing how important Roland was to many people. May God bless and comfort family and friends during this time of great loss.

Roland was the most nicest man I ever met, especially when "The Great Bubble Wars" were thought of. When I was little, Roland took a metal hanger, bent it in a circular shape, for me to make big bubbles. During a bubble war, I fell down on the stones. He helped me up and cleaned my wound.
I know we all will miss Roland, I will especially. i'll never forget him, or"The Great Bubble Wars".

Dear Roland,
You brought smiles to the heart and joy to the soul. There was times I felt unaccepted but you accepted me the way I was and made me feel like someone.
You are so easy to love and never hid yourself to pacify others and that my true friend is golden. Thank you for making good memories that will live always in my heart.
Love,
Jennifer

Know that there is naught to fear in thy embrace, Which none escape.
That when we step into the darkness, as all must, it is but to step again into the light.
Therefore, in love, and without fear, We commend you to thee, our Brother.
Take him, guard him, guide him; Admit into the Summerlands, Which stand between life and life.
And know, as thou knoweth all things, That our love goes with him.
Roland has always had a special place in my heart. I will miss him, his humor, his laughter.
Goodbye, until we meet again....
