I only just met Ron two years ago as a newbie to the Mild Bunch. Of course as the newbie, I made the mistake of starting our 1500 mile ride with a worn tire, and along the way the inevitable flat tire occurred. At this point I had only known of Ron for 48 hours, yet it was he who offered to stay back and help me to wait at the tire shop and get my tire fixed, while the gang headed on. So for that day Ron and I took a different route to catch up to the gang and were riding buddies. He instantly left such a massive impression on me as an amazing human being. He was so calm in a stressful event for me, loyal to hang back with a virtual stranger, and he was a wealth of knowledge and great stories. Again, I only just met Ron a handful of times, but I am very sorry to his loved ones closest to him for your surprising loss far too soon, and to somebody far too early. If there is any saving thoughts, it is that he is now re-united with his favorite riding buddy, his brother in law I believe, who also left far too early .... I hope there are some great winding roads where they are now. My deepest condolences to his family and all who knew him and were also touched by Ron's large shadow.

Truly one of the kindest souls that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. My condolences to the family.

I met Ron at work in 1998 & saw him last at the Lending Centre this past summer. He was, as always, full of laughter, tall tales & good humour. Judi & I regaled him with stories of retirement & the wonderful feeling of freedom it provided. He was truly looking forward to starting his own retirement journey with Tracy. It goes without saying that he deserved such an adventure & it breaks my heart to know that it was not to be.
Ron was an incredible person - warm, outgoing, generous with his time. He was the first one to stand in your office door to offer a smile & a "how can I help?" In life, there are people who make a lasting impact on you, simply by being who they are. Ron was such a person. The list of those who miss him will be long & loving.
To Tracy - I know you will remember Ron with love & laughter. A loss like this cannot be described, but your memories will see you through.
Rest in peace, my friend. I will not forget you.

Tracey I am so sorry for your lost. I know Ron was looking forward to his retirement with you. Ron and I had both attended different high schools in Yorkton Saskatchewan. He had heard my name mentioned in Kamloops and took the time to look me up. I only had the pleasure of knowing him for 10 or so years. A good friend, he will be sadly missed.

I did not know Ron socially, but worked with him professionally over the past 25 years or so. He was always genuine, honest, helpful and just easy to get along with. Although I saw him less in recent years I enjoyed the odd chat now and again when we would run into each other. My sincere condolences to the family.

Tracey
I was very saddened to hear of Ron's sudden passing. I have known Ron for the better part of thirty years. We became friends when he was working at the Credit Union in Chase and I manned the MJB branch office there. I really enjoyed his personality and his love of life. We spent many hours, when we were supposed to be working, talking about hockey and other sports. He truly was a very good person. I regret that I didn't see as much of him or you the last ten years or so. But I still considered him to be a good friend.
He was tremendously respected at the Credit Union. A number of people have told me how much he helped them out over the years with their jobs and various projects. He was a part of the glue that kept the administration of ISCU going here in Kamloops.
It is so sad that he was taken just short of his retirement. He had a great many sailing, golfing, RVing and motorbiking days ahead of him. Our thoughts are with you.

I had the pleasure of working with Ron at the Credit Union. He was a pillar we clung to in times of change and a resource we relied on whenever we doubted ourselves. He was truly a gift of a soul, offering advice, friendship and encouragement to so many of us just starting out. He always made time for people and was willing to share his incredible knowledge and impressive memory with everyone. He will be greatly missed and I am so sorry that he didn't get to enjoy his well-deserved retirement. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss.

I have known and worked with Ron since 2001....he was a GREAT, GREAT man who was respected and admired by everyone who came in contact with him.
I am so saddened Tracey that you and Ron never got to live out your retirement dreams. He will be so missed but his memory and contributions will always live on in the hearts of all of us that he touched.
