Arthur and I will never forget you Romano. It was a joy to know you, and all too brief an encounter on this earth. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Hello,
I worked with Romano at Westinghouse in Monroeville in 1968 - really enjoyed his sense of humor, and dedication to quality.

Olga, Pia and Mariolina I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Romano. I have such fond memories of the years I spent as an honorary member of your family. I will always remember Romano for the way he'd breeze back in from another trip abroad still looking dapper, carrying goodies yet to be seen in America like the first CD player, a BETA machine and a cable box. Sunday mornings at St. Paul's on Forbes Ave, lunch at the Gazebo and then hunkering down as devoted Steeler fans the rest of the day. I remember how he treated us like adults even when we were too young to deserve that honor. He always shared stories, information from work, political thoughts that engaged our young minds. Please know that i'm thinking of all of you during this difficult time and keeping you in my prayers always,
Mindy

Dearest Mariolina-
My heart goes out to you and your daughters. I'm thinking of you all at this difficult time.
Most-
I remember your saying, "Romano's" name with the roll of your tongue on the "r" that always seemed to sing with your love for him.

Dear Mariolina,Pia and Olga,
I am so sorry to hear about Romano. I know how loved and adored he was by all of you and I can't think of a more telling sign of what type of man he was then the love and admiration you his family always had for him.
I hope you are all well. My deepest sympathy.

Romano was a man with intergity, energy, and good humor. A man I will always remember as a great example to his workers, and one of my favorite bosses. Romano was a leader in the nuclear industry and a great asset to mankind. He will be missed by all and remembered always by me.

ti troveremo: il tuo rigore, il tuo amore, il tuo sorriso, la tua ironia.
Addio, anzi arrivederci. Enrico, Maria Pia."

Mariolina and Family,
We are continuing to process the loss of Romano, as we are sure you are as well. The many hours we spent on the golf course together verified the saying that a persons true character is revealed playing golf. He showed courage and daring, values he also reflected off the course. Romano is missed by all who knew him and we hope the passage of time will ease your pain.

Mario

Mariolina-
Jeff and I just learned that Romano died last week and want you to know that we are thinking of you. Despite the fact that it has been a very long time since Jeff visited you in Winter Park and we all last spoke, you and Romano and the good times we all had at 201 South Lexington Avenue are often in our thoughts.

Antonio (detto Lillo)

Romano had such a passion for great art---it was a delight to travel with him in Europe and New York looking at art. The world shall miss his wonderful, crazy sense of humor, his sharp, incisive questions, and the sparkle in those eyes.

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. I met Romano and his very beautiful wife in Little Rock when my Dad was a few doors down struggling with the same treatments. I cannot express how I was truly inspired by Romano. He was very strong, warm and kind. I will never forget him. With love and sympathy.

I met Romano a year ago. Although he was very sick at the time, he treated me with warmth and kindness. It did not take long to see he deeply loved his family. Romano could easily put a smile on your face and he never missed an opportunity to make you laugh. May his memories bring you happiness and comfort during this difficult time.

Adriana e Francesca.

I have may good memories of Romano. I always found him to be warm and his quick wit to be welcome. I learned "the value of negative investment" from him. I am very sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

Romano hired me as his Human Resources Manager in the fall of 1988. He was an exceptional person, and I learned much from his leadership during the 7 years I worked for him. I am very sad to learn of his passing.
As I remember him he had a fascination for people. He never gave up in determining the motivation of others. He used what he learned to guide, develop and ultimately "get the most" from people resources. I observed him in his best and worst moments using his motivational skills, but even when he was upset with someone he always approached the person with grace and dignity. We went through some very difficult times and made some very hard decisions that affected families. Romano approached these decisions with deep consideration, with compassion, and to cut the tension (which was very high at times), he was able to use just the right amount of humor to relieve the stress. I can still hear him tell a joke with his Italian accent.
You can be very proud of Romano. I know I am proud to have shared some of his success, some of his pressure, some of his many laughs. In the end, he always talked about his family. This was the biggest lesson in his life for me...family is first!
My deepest condolence to you...

To Salvatori Family:
Even though I am no longer in Pittsburgh or at Westinghouse I worked for Romano for a number of years in the 1970s. I remember his quick wit and defense of nuclear power. I also remember when he was Manager of Nuclear Safety and signed some of my WCAPs as the primary interface with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. I also remember he was one of the first people in Westinghouse to quote probabilistic results of LOCA events and how safe nuclear power is. He will be missed.
God Bless,
Carol Mariany
