Ron Harper

Ron and I have been writing to each other for the passed 11 years. We have even talked to each other on the telephone. He has been an inspiration to me and my heart will be forever his.

It was 1966/67 when Garrison’s Gorillas was aired in the UK and I thoroughly enjoyed the series. Ron was my first love, thought he was so handsome and a wonderful voice.
My sincere condolences to all of his family and friends, I too know how hard the loss of a loved one can be. I am thinking of you.

Ron was in one of my favorite episodes of "Love American Style" "Love and the Proposal." He played the roommate of Warren Berlinger. I have watched that episode many times and you can just see Warren, who was always lovably wacky, cracking Ron up. Am happy for Ron's wonderful career and sad to hear of his passing. He was a handsome man with talent and personality.

I am so sorry about the loss of Ron-loved all of his shows and he will always be remembered. The Harper family has my deepest condolences and I pray that you will be surrounded continuously with love and support. As you go through this difficult time, may Almighty God give you "everlasting comfort" (2 Thess. 2:16).

Ron was part of my teenage years, as the wonderful Lt Garrison. He was my idol, and I've followed him, throughout his career. I'm heartbroken at his passing, and so are many others, here in England. He won't be forgotten, as he has a loyal following here. Condolences to his daughter and family.

The Champion family children (Jim, Dale, & Carole) were Ron's cousins. His mother Mabel Champion Harper was our Dad's older sister. Our condolences to his daughters. We have never met but hopefully one day. Dale Champion

I was 12 and had a school girl crush when saw him on Garrison Gorillas. I thought he was it! Saw him in soaps after that and couple movies, still crushing. Condolences to family.
