R.I.P Ron, you will be sadly missed by us all. It doesn't seem that long ago that we all met when you moved from England to Grande Prairie.

Jayne, Christine, Kate and family, words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for your loss of this amazing man. From our teenage years when Ron was just Jayne's Dad who couldn't remember our names or which friend we were , to our twenties when we realized that our parents were people too and Ron knew a lot of things about a lot of things, to our 30's when it was such fun to hang with Ron and his friends at the pub, to our 40's when we cherished any time spent with him. Christmas, New Years and other holidays or life events will never be the same. I wish you all peace and love and pray you find comfort in your memories and love for Ron.

The last time I saw Ron was more than 45 years ago. He went off to the West Coast and I stopped at West London. My enduring image is of a wide-eyed, broad-smiling face and an infectious laugh to go with this lot. I recall we both chased round Newcastle searching for white Levis - Ron had a unique way of pronouncing Levis - and striped Mandarin cotton jackets. So he will remain a young mod in my minds eye and I'm sure he's happy with that. Climb on the Sloop John B and sail on Ron.

I am so saddened to hear this news. I fondly remember Ronnie calling on my brother Michael or Mick as he referred to him much to our mothers indignation. (Mick doesn't live here but Michael does)

I remember Ron helping me with the AV installation in Jayne and Wes' place when they first moved in. Always ready to lend a hand and share ideas and expertise.
A great man and I am glad I had the opportunity to meet him. He looked very much at peace last night and that's how I will think of him.

Time will heal though. Ron went before his time and he was a good friend to me and probably everyone who knew him. He will be missed. I am sorry I did not get to see him more in recent years even though I am just down the road here in Oregon.

Everytime I went to visit Granda he was always so happy to see me. He would say "Hi pet" and give me a hug and kiss. I will never forget the feeling of his beard tickle my cheek! He was so kind and had a heart of gold. Granda, I will never ever forget you. I love you forever.

Ron was a kind and generous husband, father, Granda, and friend...to many. It was such a pleasure getting to know him over the last few years especially through the stories from his daughter Jayne. I'll miss seeing his smily visits when he popped into our workplace Jayne. What a loss, he's a great man, my condolences to everyone.
