Saddened to read Mr Ranson's obituary. A kind teacher and dedicated artist. I took a couple workshops from him on the coast of Maine that I enjoyed immensely while trying to conquer that "wild" hake brush. I also bought a lovely watercolor from him and have several of his wonderful books. RIP Mr. Ranson.

Ron Ranson held a 2 day watercolor class at his house in 2012 for just one person, me. Then his wife made us lunch. He is the kind of person who created a wonderful example for all humanity,.

Ron is one of the kindest person I've ever met, let alone his talent. He was blessed with a devoted charming wife. He said his next book will be 'when East meets West', unfortunately it never becomes reality. He will be deeply missed. RIP Ron!
