Ron will be missed. He took our girls on his sail boat when they were little for a short ride. They never have forgotten that experience. He flew Taryn and I to Spain and that truly was an experience with him I won´t ever forget. I felt like Taryn and I were celebrities on that flight. Showed us the captains cabin on the plane for the crew. Then in Spain he took us to a couple of his spots he liked. He was a man who has traveled the globe and loved to share the experiences with others.
He was the best father I have ever seen with a child. How I relish to see his and Taryn´s relationship. An amazing bond they shared. You can just feel the love between the two of them.
He will be truly missed. We were was so lucky to have met him and shared some special memories with him. Sending our love to Taryn, Ryan, KC, Jennifer and the entire family.

We've only just heard that Ron, WQ3W, has passed away.
So sorry to hear.
We were fortunate enough to speak with Ron for years via amateur radio from his plane and boat. We met him and Jennifer in person several times. He even invited us on a boat trip and a flight with his plane. That's who Ron was.
We will miss him dearly.
Our deepest condolences to Jeniffer, his family and friends.
Rest in peace, dear Ron.
From your friends, Johan and Nicole in Belgium.

Jennifer,
So sorry for your loss.
When I went through B-767 training with Ron at the TWA facility in St. Louis, I thought that Ron hand flew the simulator better than any pilot that I ever saw fly a simulator.
He was a great guy and will be missed!

Till we meet again, Ron. I taught a day or two of your Indoc classes when you were hired at Piedmont. Although we were not personal friends during our careers at the airline, you were always on the radar. Thank you for your service and dedication to me and our brotherhood of pilots. Your work and sacrifice are appreciated. Rest in peace, my friend. Save me a seat at your table in the hangar of the next life.

I remember flying many trips to Madrid with Ron and Ken Cox. Just a super individual to be with. A joyful time every time we worked together. An excellent, intelligent thoughtful person that kept me laughing and smiling the entire time. Godspeed and RIP Ronal Hall

I flew with Ron when he upgraded to Captain on the Fokker 28. He was an excellent pilot and, for a new FO, a great travelling companion. I will miss him and cherish the memories. Smooth seas and following winds, Skipper.

Thanks for the good times in Spain. It was always great to tag along with you while you used your self taught Spanish to navigate the little spots in Barcelona and Madrid. Smooth sailing as you head west, RIP Ron.

Though I only had the privilege of knowing Captain Ron for a short while, his infectious smile and charming demeanor made him so easy to be around. I was fortunate to be one of the lucky ones to get a personal tour of Tampa Bay from Captain Ron on his beautiful sailboat.
My heart goes out to his children, grandchildren and sweet wife, Jennifer. They were indeed a great couple together.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Ron´s passing. It was truly a privilege to work alongside such an incredible man. As a flight attendant, I had the honor of flying with him on many international flights, and every single time, he made the experience better. He was not only an excellent pilot, but also one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I´ve ever had the pleasure of working with. His great sense of humor and steady professionalism always made the toughest days easier to handle.
People like Ron are rare-his genuine kindness, his warmth, and the way he treated everyone with respect made him stand out. He will be missed by everyone who had the chance to know him, and I know that his memory will live on in all the hearts he touched.
Please know that my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
With deepest sympathy,
Rita (Love) Triol

Ron was such a wonderful friend and mentor to so many people! I spent countless evenings on his sailboat, sipping Gin and tonics, sharing stories, and just soaking up his wisdom. He always had his transistor radio handy, chatting with folks all over the world. It was always a blast watching him connect with people from different corners of the globe and jot down their conversations.
Blue skies and tailwinds my friend,
-Dylan Michaels
