Ronald Adams

Ronald Edward Adams, born February 21, 1935, in Sagola, Michigan, passed away on November 13, 2024, in Temple Terrace, Florida. He was 89 years old.

Ronald was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Loraine Adams, and his brothers, Richard and William Adams. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 70 years, Sarah Marie; his son Brian of Oklahoma; his daughter Jeanne of California; and his daughter Cindy also of California; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Ron was inducted into the army in 1957 serving 2 years as a radio/telegraph operator. He began his career as a journeyman printer with the *Sun Telegram* newspaper in San Bernardino, California, a vocation he pursued for nearly two decades. However, he longed to serve as a preacher of the Gospel. In January 1970, he embarked on a nearly 50-year ministry along the Central and Southern California coasts with an emphasis on smaller congregations-often overlooked by others. Ronald also served as a shepherd for over 20 years. Despite offers from larger congregations, he remained committed to serving smaller assemblies. In 2003 he began publishing weekly emails of encouragement and spiritual things to think about. He started including a monthly email in 2006. By 2024, he had published online close to 500 ebooks, sermon outlines, class books and most of the email publications he had sent out. He also published personal books for his immediate family that told about his upbringing and his time in the military.

He enjoyed sports, running track in high school. When his family was older he enjoyed whatever sport was in season. He engaged in softball, basketball, football, baseball, fishing and camping, and enthusiastically enjoyed ping pong as well.

Later in life, Ron worked with the Department of Motor Vehicles before retiring from both secular work and ministry. In 2017, he and Marie moved to Florida, where they enjoyed their retirement together. From 2018-2024 he worked together online with Christians in other countries providing materials for them to learn and teach from.

A memorial service will be held on February 22, 2025, at the Temple Terrace Church of Christ in Temple Terrace, Florida. Private inurnment ceremony will be at Florida National Cemetery.
