I began seeing "Dr. Ron" as I knew him 15 years ago when I was just a boy. He was patient, compassionate, and made the angry, scared, and sad boy in front of him feel safe to talk about all the things that he wasn't able to make sense of on his own. I never felt judged or like I was crazy in the eyes of Dr. Ron. He was the first of many psychologists in my life and set the bar as high as any. 15 years later, and I just graduated college, have a job lined up, and have published a successful collection of poems about my bipolar disorder. None of that would be possible without Dr. Ron's compassion for 13 year old me. I am not here today without Dr. Ron, and I'm so grateful for everything he did for me.

More than 40 years ago, Dr. Boudreaux counseled me during my very troubled adolescence. He was a kind, candid and very attentive therapist genuinely concerned for best patient outcomes. He was skilled in his work and compassionate in his approach and made a positive difference in countless lives, mine among them. Call him legendary. Call me grateful.

A grand and kind person who opened doorways every day for many in life and as joyful as any man and friend. Thanks Ron for being ever- blessed and and thanks for your blessings.

One particularly fond memory I have of Ron was his exuberant hosting of his Fourth of July parties. We played old-time games like egg-toss and put on a neighborhood parade with horses, walkers and wagons full of kids. He could make even simple things exciting.

I am truly saddened to read of Ron's passing, but trust his spirit is deservedly in a place of peace and comfort.
I have been blessed to know many wonderful people, but few match the genuine, kindhearted, tastefully witty, giving soul that Ron possessed.
I am grateful for having known and enjoyed good times with Ron.
My deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.
