He was certainly a man of few words, but he was resourceful and thoughtful, and let his actions do the talking. Especially if it needed a bit of tinkering, or required the use of a tractor or snowplow, Ron was at the ready to help. I truly appreciate the many times he played snowplow fairy for my parents. However, one of my favorite memories is the time he came to our rescue armed with the old fireplace-style popcorn popper -- a flying squirrel had dropped down our chimney and into the fireplace. He chased it around with the popcorn popper until he was able to trap and transport the critter back outside. Crisis averted! Thanks for being the best kind of neighbor, Ron. My sincerest condolences to the entire Burt family and all who grieve his passing.

Condolences to Ron's family.
Ron was a great neighbor and fixer of all things. He was very good to me.

Rest in Peace, Ron.

I am so sorry for your loss. (John Burt was married to my cousin, Pam Little Burt. Pam's mom, Ruby Little, and my mom, Avanel Wollet, were sisters.) I lost the love of my life, Richard Burns, at 52, on December 17th, 2009, to Pancreatic Cancer. So I can really understand. I met Holly at some parties that Pam and Kelly gave. I lived on South Jackson Road and used to see Ron driving his cool green, old truck down Crouch And on Hague all the time. He was a very nice man. He is in Heaven with the angels. Again, I am so sorry!!!

"A man of few words" indeed. But, his laughing eyes and mischievous grin often spoke volumes.

He sure was one of the good guys ,he used come into our gas station in the 1950s. He used to ride to the hot rod shop in Detroit. We got stopped by the state police doing 118 mile per hour on old US 12,before they had speed limits. Those were good old days.may he rest in peace and may our heavenly father watch over him.
