"To the Ones Without a Dad This Father´s Day"
-This day comes,
Wrapped in memories,
Tied with both love and longing.
And while the world says celebrate,
Your heart whispers-
"Remember."
Maybe it´s been years,
Or maybe it´s still fresh.
But grief doesn´t check calendars-
It just lives quietly,
In moments.
In the tie you can´t throw away.
In the smell of old cologne.
In the way you catch yourself
Sounding like him
When you laugh.
He isn´t here to call,
To hug,
To sit with.
But he´s there-
In how you love,
In what you´ve overcome,
In the strength you don´t always notice.
On this day, let the tears come if they need to.
Smile at the memories.
Speak his name out loud.
You don´t have to "move on" to honor him.
You just have to carry him forward-
Like you already are.
So to the ones without a dad this Father´s Day:
You´re not forgotten.
You´re not alone.
And neither is he.

Hi, Honey!
Another New Year passed without you.
In August 2024 I made your wishes come true.
Ronda, Gwen, Tyler, Kenny Scott and I went to Virginia and left you on the top of your favorite mountain of Appalachians.

Hi, Honey
Today is May 2 - our wedding anniversary day. Usually, we celebrate this day together. We went out for dinner, we made matching tattoos, we went to Vegas to renew our woes, and once we had a photo session, pretended that we were on Hawaii. It was fun. Now it's only me...
I remember May 2, 1992. It was a pretty cool day. We were getting ready to go to church, but you suddenly disappeared. I think you went to the garage and spent 45 minutes deciding what to do. Then you came back I understood: You are ready!
I never regret your decision.
I love you, Honey! I miss you!

We first met Ron when we moved into our new home in Clearwood. He offered us help that first day as he did over the next four years until we moved again. In those 4 years we got to know Ron and Lena over many dinners, discussions on the deck about religion and politics without a single argument or hurt feelings, sitting with them at church or going fishing. Ha-ha! We never caught any fish, but my little dog always came home tired and with sap on her paws! I'm not sure if he liked Bailey (dog) at first, but I'm pretty sure he grew to love her and would always 'sneak' her little treats. Ron and Lena never saw "eye to eye" when it came to politics, but he sure did love her, and I can't even tell you how many times he would talk about Lena in such a loving way and say how lucky he was to have her! Ron and I shared our love of growing things, and Ron and Ron (my husband) shared their interest in woodworking and if anything needed fixing, they would consult each other and borrow tools back and forth. I remember Ron making the most beautiful wooden jewelry boxes and I remember how he loved working on that old red truck. I was so surprised when he let me take Lena out in it to practice driving!!! We brought it back with no dents or scratches, good job Lena! We knew Ron to be a man of faith and the belief that he would one day come face to face with our Lord and Savior. I'm sad that he is no longer with us, but I'm glad he is no longer hooked up to that machine...and I wonder what it was like, what he felt and what he said when he did look into the eyes of our Lord. It was amazing I'm sure and I know he is at peace forever more!

I'll miss Ron dearly, his wise advises, his sense of humor, his creativity and talent in craftsmanship, his hospitality... I remember how much he liked to cook and surprise us (Elena's friends) with tasty treats, how welcomed we always felt in his house.
Rest in peace, Ron. You left so many good memories and will be remembered by many.

I was amazed how handy was my husband! He can do everything! He fixed a houses, build the fireplaces, he can take two bad cars together and made one good one, he planed lot of trees, made many gardens and created many beautiful jewelry boxes for his daughters, granddaughters, nieces, friends.

It was when Lena and Ron had just moved in. They were getting in the truck to go somewhere. And Ron said, `we are going to town´ I thought that was cute, and figured they must be from the country.

We been together 31 great years.
We traveled, we laughed, we fought, we eat, we fixed the houses, we loved and kissed.
We had our Sunday's steak dinners and NCIS.
I miss you, Honey!
We will see again on another side
