Ronald Anderson Curlee

Ronald Anderson Curlee, 64, of Salisbury, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Novant Health – Rowan Medical Center after experiencing cardiac arrest on Friday. Born May 28, 1952 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late H.E. Curlee Sr. and Ruth McDaniel Curlee, both deceased.  Ron was also preceded in death by infant son, Alex Eugene;  one brother, Gene Curlee Jr.; three sisters, Elaine Eidson, Brenda Comer and Jeanie Eller, who passed away on Friday. Ronald worked for Man Truck Company and retired from Freightliner. He was involved with the Shriners and enjoyed fishing. Ronald served in the United States Marine Corps as a proud American.  Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Kim Rary Curlee; step-son, Chris Gegorek and wife Shelley of Chapel Hill; sister, Jackie Hudgins; brother-in- law, Tommy Eller; sister-in- law, Anne Curlee; nieces, nephews and their families.  Services: Military honors will be provided by the Rowan County Honor Guard at the memorial service held at the VFW Post #3006, located at 1200 Brenner Avenue, at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017. A drop-in Celebration of Life gathering will be held afterwards from 4-6 p.m..
